Sandi Morris on Recovering From Hip Injury, Training With Katie Nageotte and Brad Walker - UCS Spirit National Pole Vault Summit 2022
Published by
Sandi Morris, a PUMA athlete and 2018 World Indoor champion, attended the UCS Spirit National Pole Vault Summit at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center, but did not participate in the global elite competition in order to rest a tight quadriceps muscle. Morris, 29, provides an update on her recovery from a hip injury suffered at the Tokyo Olympics, along with sharing her decision to move to Georgia to train under coach Brad Walker and work with a Vault Squad group that includes reigning Olympic gold medalist Katie Nageotte. Morris reflects on her time working the past decade with Arkansas pole vault coach Bryan Compton and her desire to eclipse the world record as the most important goal in her career. She looks forward to competing with Nageotte Jan. 29 at the 114th Millrose Games at The Armory in New York. More videos |
