Westlake CA junior Paige Sommers cleared 12-10 (3.91m) on her first attempt to place third in the girls high school elite competition at the UCS Spirit National Pole Vault Summit at Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center. Sommers improved from placing 10th last year, clearing 11-6. She edged Allison Neiders of Holy Names Academy WA and Northwest Pole Vault Club for third based on fewer misses.
