Scott Houston discussed at this year's UCS Spirit National Pole Vault Summit in Reno the honor of being the defending men's pole vault champion entering the Toyota USATF Indoor Championships at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island in New York. Houston captured his first national title by clearing 19-1.50 (5.83m) last year at the Albuquerque Convention Center in New Mexico.
