St. Francis CA Mountain View junior Scott Toney won the second flight of the boys high school competition with a personal-best 16-foot clearance (4.87m) at the UCS Spirit National Pole Vault Summit at the Reno Livestock Events Center. Toney improved his personal best by 11 inches, prevailing against Wando SC junior Dillon McCathy on fewer attempts after both athletes cleared 16 feet.
