South Dakota freshman Gennifer Hirata won the women's elite college competition with a second-attempt clearance at 13-5.25 (4.10m) at the UCS Spirit National Pole Vault Summit at Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center. Hirata and teammate Landon Kemp both cleared 13-5.25 on their second attempts, but Hirata prevailed based on Kemp having an earlier miss at 12-5.50 (3.80m). South Dakota swept the top four spots in the competition.
