Morgann LeLeux Romero, a finalist for the U.S. at the Tokyo Olympics, reflects on her return to competition for the first time in 511 days following surgery to repair a partially torn Achilles' tendon and clearing 14-9.50 (4.51m) to place second in the women's elite section at the UCS Spirit National Pole Vault Summit at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center in Nevada. LeLeux Romero, 30, explains her recovery process and becoming a medical sales representative for Stryker, as well as the significance of continuing to train with her father Shane LeLeux.
