Katie Nageotte, a Nike athlete and reigning Olympic gold medalist, won the women's global elite section with a third-attempt clearance at 15-1.25 (4.60m) from a five-left approach at the UCS Spirit National Pole Vault Summit at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center. Nageotte matched her personal best from a short approach to take over the world indoor lead, earning her first elite victory in Reno following a pair of runner-up performances and a third-place effort during her career.
